Bonnie Logsdon, Lactation Consultant in Louisville, KY, serving all Kentuckiana counties: Jefferson, Bullitt, Hardin, Oldham, Meade, Shelby, Trimble, Henry, Spencer, Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Scott, and Washington.

I am Bonnie Holt Logsdon (she/her), Owner & Chief Lactivist at Bonnie Knows Breast®. I’m an International Perinatal Health Speaker and Educator, Registered Dietitian(RD), Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Lactation Educator™ (CLE©) through CAPPA, and a DONA trained birth doula with over 20 years of experience in community-based practice and lactation practice, professional speaking and training. I also serve as a member of the GOLD Lactation Academy Advisory Board.

I am grateful and happy to be supporting families during the prenatal and postpartum period for both lactation and nutrition support in my private practice.

Over the years, I have educated thousands of parents and professionals on topics surrounding nutrition and lactation. I facilitate new parent groups and coordinate parent retreats and classes as well.

In-person office visit support is available in the Louisville, KY and Southern Indiana area, telehealth visits are available to anyone anywhere, and Bonnie Knows Breast® is now offering home visits with Jenna Olliges, CPM, IBCLC!

I am committed to giving personalized, affirming care to each family and individual that I work with! Supporting families during this critical and emotional time in their lives is such important work that I do not take lightly. My promise and #1 priority is to provide support in a compassionate,  non-judgmental way to meet you where you are and help you meet your chest/breastfeeding or nutrition goals.

I am a current board member of the HMBANA-accredited human milk bank, The Milk Bank, and have served on the board of the Kentuckiana Lactation Improvement Coalition as President.

Empowering people with education to make informed decisions related to their health and the health of their babies is powerful work that I am privileged to do. I support families and professionals of all backgrounds, structures, and identities. Everyone deserves support and I hope to get the honor of being there for you.

When I am not doing this job that I love, I am spending time with my husband and our son. We have traveled the world together as a couple and now enjoy time as a family of three. Our kiddo is our greatest adventure and keeps us on our toes and laughing. In my free time, I enjoy quality time with family and friends, time outdoors, traveling, and cooking.

Cheers,
